By the time Chevrolet started producing C5 and C6 Corvettes, they had moved well past the days of hot interior temperatures. They were able to do so by installing carpet in Corvettes that were backed with high quality material similar to the mass backing carpet we’ve talked about before. However, before mass backing, which was used in C4 Corvettes, the carpet sets were not designed to keep the interior of your Corvette free of noise and heat.
