Here’s what’s causing you to “sink”: Chevrolet used two different designs to support the seat bottom cushion (also called seat bottom foam) on all 1984-1996 C4 Corvettes.

The early models used a poorly designed, thin support wire that typically rusts through or cuts into the seat foam. Later C4 Corvettes made the switch to straps -a much better engineering design because they don’t rust or cut into the seat foam; however, after years of use and wear, the straps lose their tension.

The result: a sagging seat bottom that lets you sink well too far into the seat!

This strap kit replaces the thin wires on the early C4 Corvettes as an upgrade and brings your late model C4 back into factory specifications.
