Each seat belt set is manufactured using the same stitch pattern as original and all are available in multiple interior colors providing an authentic OEM look to your C3 Corvette’s interior.
Here are all of our 1968-1982 Corvette Retractor Seat Belt Sets available:
For 1968-1971 Corvettes we have an excellent replacement set that includes non-retractable lap belts plus shoulder harnesses with new technology retractors. The push button buckles are the original GM style without the GM logo. This seat belt set fits 1968-1971 Corvettes equipped with shoulder harnesses and includes the web stops plus all necessary mounting hardware.
Our 1972-1973 Corvette Lap & Shoulder Seat Belt Sets fit both coupe and convertible Corvettes equipped with shoulder harnesses. This seat belt set includes new technology retractors for both the lap and the shoulder belts plus comes with the original style push button buckles without the GM logo. Web stops and all necessary seat belt mount hardware is included with the set.
1974-1977 Corvette coupes in need of new lap & shoulder seat belts can be brought back to life with our single retractor lap and shoulder set. Our 1974-1977 Corvette Coupe Seat Belt Sets will serve as a great replacement to the belts currently installed in your Corvette. Instead of the double retractors, the single retractor, also found on later C3 Corvettes, mounts behind each seat on the wheel well. This set includes original style push button buckles w/o the GM logo and all mounting hardware.
If adding reproduction seat belts to your 1974-1975 convertible or 1974-1977 coupe is going to be your next project our factory reproduction seat belt sets, which include dual retractors, reproduction latches, GM style buckles without the GM logo, and all necessary mounting hardware is hands down the way to go. Each set looks like it was installed from the factory years ago and is available at a fraction of the cost for true original Corvette Seat Belts.
1970-1977 coupes came standard from the factory with shoulder harnesses, however this was not the case for 1970-1975 convertibles. Many convertibles left the factory with just lap belts as the shoulder harnesses were optional. Our 1970-1977 Corvette Lap Belts include new technology retractors with original looking latches, web stops, GM style push button buckles that do not include the GM logo, and mount hardware.
In 1978 Chevrolet switched to the single retractor seat belt design in all Corvettes. Our 1978-1982 Corvette Seat Belt Sets are available in multiple interior colors and include the GM style buckles without the GM logo and all necessary mounting hardware.
Outside of full car seat belt sets we also have the inner sleeves, web stops, shoulder harness twin storage pockets, retractor covers, and all of the attaching hardware for 1968-1982 Corvettes. Here is a list of the color options available for our 1968-1982 Corvette Seat Belts:

I have a 1975 Corvette convertible, which did not come with a shoulder belt. I would like to add that belt with the “through the seat” hardware. I am looking for a kit and the price.
Leo,
You will need to buy the 1975 Corvette Reproduction or Replacement Seat Belt Set as well as the Seat Belt Hardware. Just follow the links to see the necessary parts. If you do not have a 1975 Corvette Assembly Manual this would be very helpful to insure correct installation.
I have a 1969 Corvette coupe, but would like retractable lap and shoulder belts. Will the 1972 style Corvette seat belts fit without modification?
Tim,
The floor pan in a 1972 Corvette was designed to mount the retractors under the seat. It actually had an indention for the retractor to mount in as well as a metal guide for the seat belts to travel through. In order to mount the retractor there in a 1969 Corvette a fair amount of modifications would be required.
I have a 1969 Corvette coupe and would like to put on new seat belts that have the shoulder belts. Is that possible? I now have lapbelts only? What is required?
It depends really on how correct you want your Corvette’s Seat Belts to look. First the guide that is on top of the seat is not available so that would have to be found used. I do not know if all the 1969 Corvettes came with the shoulder harness reinforcement plate in the back where the actual belts bolt down to. You would have to check your Corvette. So you need a shoulder harness, you would need the plates and interior covers for the rear and then the seat brackets.
I want to replace my seat belts but cannot get the bottom bolt to move. I wacked at it with an air hammer one day and it still will not move.
I am in need of only 1 retractor for driver side. Can I purchase just that? Black in color. It comes from your 1969 to 1971 Corvette kit I-2272. Thanks
Michael,
We currently only sell those retractors in our complete Corvette Seat Belt Sets. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Dan,
You may have to apply heat to the bolts. They can be a real bear to remove sometimes.
I have one lap belt retractor that the spring popped out of when I got the cover caught on something. Any suggestions how to fix or reinstall the spring?
Thanks!
Jerry
Do you sell the chrome seat belt guide that goes on top of the seat, under the headrest for a 1968 or 1969 Corvette?
Allen,
We do not currently offer a replacement for the 1968-1969 inner seat belt guides. Your best bet at this point would likely be to find a good used pair.
I am in need of the two seat belt hold-on brackets that are rivets to the floor. Please tell me where I can get them.
the corvette is a 1974
I have a 1978 Corvette and because I am a short heavy set man I am having problems buckling myself in. Can I have the seat belt extented about 9 inches?
We sell Corvette Seat Belt Extenders that add an additional 12″ to the seat belts already installed.
Hi Nick:
Zip has a great selection of Corvette Underbody Seatbelt Supports.
Hi Jerry:
Seat belt retractors can be sent to Snake Oyl Products for rebuilding. We do not recommend that individuals try to rebuild or replace the Corvette Parts on this critical safety component.
Hello,
I need instructions or a diagram for the proper installation of seatbelts in a 1968 Corvette.
Thank you.
Victoria:
The diagrams you need are included in the 1968-1982 Corvette Assembly Manual. Hope this helps!
