Another new Corvette part at Zip. This one for the C6 Z06 owner:
This new Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor is now available from Zip Corvette Parts for 2006-2007 C6 Z06 Corvettes. This Jet Performance Products’ mass air flow sensor is an excellent upgrade for your Corvette’s Z06 engine. Unlike the factory Corvette air flow sensor, which is a major restrictive point in both stock intake systems and aftermarket cold air intake systems, this Powr-Flow Mass Air Sensor generates greater horsepower, torque, and gas mileage for your Z06 Corvette. On top of providing instant performance boosts for your Z06 Corvette, the Jet Powr-Flow Mass Air Sensor installs virtually hassle free in about 10 minutes.
Jet’s mass air flow sensor is an excellent upgrade for 2006-2007 Z06 Corvettes. Combine this sensor with a Callaway Honker or Vortex Rammer cold air induction system and your Z06 Corvette will be flowing cool air at a maximum. The combination of either cold air intake system and this air flow sensor could add up to 25 horsepower to your Corvette.
I have a 2003 Z06, give me some products.
We carry several performance items for your Z06 Corvette, I’d suggest 1997-2009 Corvette FAST LSX 90MM INTAKE MANIFOLD or one of our Corvette Performance Air Intake Systems if you are looking for items on the intake side of your Corvette’s engine.
Just curious, I have installed the K&N intake system and had a Tune on the Dyno done on my 2006 Corvette Z06. If I installed the new Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor on my Z06 wouldn’t I need to have another tune done to get the max from the new Mass Air Sensor? Could I expect much gain without tuning again? Thank You for your time.
If your car has already been dyno-tuned you would not be accomplishing anything by going to the new MAF sensor.
If the new MAF sensor allows 45% more air flow over the OEM part, why would it not help even after a Dyno-tune? Possibly, I would have to re-tune. With 45% more Air flow seems like it would have to help some. I’m just speculating I’m sure you know more about this stuff than I. I will respect your final answer. Just curious again.
The description for this new JET MAF sensor came directly from JET. The MAF that comes in the 06-09 ZO6, 08-09 LS3, and the new ZR1 does not have a housing that air flows through. It has a small opening that picks up airspeed in the intake track. It is not possible for it to “flow” even 1% more air over the factory one. What they (JET) did with the MAF was to reprogram it by changing the outputs over what the stock one is. If your car has been re-tuned then you have done the same thing but you did it in the computer. It will not give you anything that you do not already have, it may even step you backwards by making the car too lean.
I have a 2007 Z06 Corvette which I installed a Hurricane air intake system on. I would like to know if I would gain any more HP from installing this Jet Powr-Flow Mass Air Sensor?
With the Vortex Rammer or Callaway Honker air intake systems we can give you an estimate of 25 HP. However with the Z06 Hurricane air intake system we are unsure of the possible HP gain because we do not sell that system nor do we have any data on the mass air sensor combined with the Hurricane.
I had my Corvette tuned with a jet mass air sensor already installed. The Corvette also has k&n intake headers, cam, etc. Should I leave the jet mass air sensor on or put my stock mass air sensor back on?
Danny,
If the Corvette was tuned with the JET meter on it, then I would leave it installed.
